When we spend a third of our lives on something, we should probably invest heavily in that thing. And yes, sleep is one of those things.

To sleep well, you need a good pillow. And in our Tuft & Needle pillow review, we're breaking down the foam and support behind a newcomer to the pillow market.

Tuft & Needle isn't a pillow company, but that doesn't mean their pillow isn't worth considering. Sure, you can just run to a department store and choose a pillow there. But as we mentioned, you should invest a little more into your sleep.

So, will this Tuft & Needle pillow review change the way you sleep?

They make sure all of their products use high-quality materials, and they want to bring transparency to the industry.

While pillows aren't as expensive as mattresses, the Tuft & Needle pillow does have a lot to offer. For this Tuft and Needle pillow review, we wanted to explore whether a mattress company can make a great pillow.

Your pillow can have a significant effect on your sleep, so you want to make sure you get a good one. As we continue with this Tuft and Needle pillow review, let's see what makes the pillow unique.

Pillow specs

You might be wondering what specs a pillow could have. Don't they all do the same thing? Yes and no.

Pillows come in all shapes and sizes, and some use different materials.

The Tuft & Needle Premium Pillow comes in both standard and king sizes. Like most pillows, the standard size is suitable for a smaller bed or someone who doesn't move around much.

On the other hand, the king-size pillow is perfect for king size beds or people who do move around a lot at night.

Both sized pillows use adaptive foam instead of memory foam or latex. That adaptive foam still supports you, and it's just as soft as some other pillow materials.

If you're prone to allergies, you can use the hypoallergenic pillow cover without any worries.

The Tuft & Needle pillow also infuses graphite and cooling gel so you shouldn't overheat. Their pillow also has CertiPUR certification which means the pillow doesn't contain harmful chemicals.

You can sleep on the pillow for up to 30 nights and still receive a refund if you find out it doesn't work for you.

A pillow for your troubles?

So, what exactly makes a great pillow? The best pillow for you depends a lot on your sleeping position. Like your mattress, your pillow can either help or hinder your sleep.

If you sleep on your back, you should look for a thinner pillow. You might also like a pillow that is a bit thicker on the bottom since that can help comfort your neck.

Stomach sleepers should also look for a thin pillow. But you could also benefit from a second pillow like a body pillow to help alleviate pain in your lower back.

If you sleep on your side, you'll want a firm pillow that's thick enough to support your head when laying on your side. The Tuft & Needle pillow isn't too thick or thin, so it's worth trying if you like the feeling of a foam pillow.

The Best Sleep of Your Life

We spend almost a third of our lives sleeping, yet it can be hard to invest in the tools to help us sleep. While the Tuft & Needle pillow does sound appealing, we had to compare it with the competition.

Like Goldilocks

When comparing the pillows for our Tuft & Needle pillow review, we wanted to see which pillow would work for different types of people. After all, Goldilocks tried three beds (and three pillows) before she found one that suited her.

Unfortunately, we can't all be like Goldilocks. When you buy a pillow, you should have some idea about what you need or want in a pillow.

Very rarely can you test out a bunch of pillows before choosing the best one for you.

So, we compared the cost and features of a few similar pillows to determine how the Tuft & Needle pillow stacks up against the competition.

Before we forget...

We can't continue our Tuft & Needle pillow review without reminding you that we aren't doctors. This review is purely informational, and we aren't here to provide medical advice.

If you try any new pillow and experience pain or discomfort, that pillow might not be for you. Be sure to consult with a doctor or sleep specialist, and they can work with you to help you get the sleep you deserve.

The Coop Home Goods Premium Pillow contains bamboo and memory foam that conforms to your head and neck. You can adjust the pillow to fit your specific sleeping position and pillow preference.

The pillow uses Certi-PUR certified foam, so it doesn't contain harmful chemicals. This pillow is also pretty durable, and Coop Home Goods claims the pillow won't go flat for at least five years.

You should also know that the pillow is hypoallergenic. It can resist dust and mites while still keeping you comfortable.

Another thing to note is that Coop Home Goods has a generous return policy, so you can test the pillow for up to 100 days. If you don't like the pillow, they will give you a refund within that period.

Coop Home Goods claims the pillow works with any sleeping position, and they could be right considering that you can change the specific fill of the pillow.

This pillow doesn't have the cooling technology like the Tuft & Needle. However, the bamboo exterior is breathable, which is comforting if you're a stomach sleeper.

The Original Combination Pillow from Snuggle-Pedic is similar to the Coop Home Goods and Tuft & Needle pillows. This pillow combines some of the features of the two pillows such as a bamboo cover and the ability to keep you cool.

The pillow cover is breathable which is great if you're a stomach sleeper. However, you can adjust the shape and placement of the fill to get the pillow shape you want. Supposedly, the foam won't go flat.

If you need a hypoallergenic pillow, the Snuggle-Pedic is a great option. It resists dust and mites, and it also has Certi-PUR certification, so it's free of harmful chemicals. You should know that the memory foam is shredded rather than a block foam.

If you're anxious about choosing the right pillow for you, Snuggle-Pedic lets you test their pillow for up to 120 nights to determine if you want a refund.

The pillow also comes with a 20-year warranty, and it's even machine-washable.

Jiaao Memory Foam Pillow

Jiaao

The Jiaao Memory Foam Pillow is yet another option for a memory foam pillow that you can adjust for your specific needs.

You can form the pillow depending on whether you sleep on your back, stomach, or side. Also, you can add or remove foam to get the specific pillow height that you need.

The pillow has a hypoallergenic cover, and the cover gives the pillow extra support. You can stretch the pillow cover which helps make the pillow itself more customizable.

To add or remove the foam, all you have to do is unzip the cover and then change the amount of foam in the pillow. However, you can still wash the pillow in the washing machine.

Jiaao has an extremely long trial period of 150 nights, so you can make sure the pillow is for you. They also offer a 12-month guarantee on their pillows. They even claim that the pillow will return to its original shape after a spin in the washing machine.

Cok Memory Foam Pillow

Cok tuft & needle pillow review

Yet another memory foam pillow, the Cok pillow is very similar to some other pillows. However, this pillow combines memory foam with poly fibers.

That combination keeps the material from shifting within the pillow. That does mean that the pillow isn't as adjustable as some others out there.

However, you can add or remove foam to adjust the fill. You just can't adjust the pillow by fluffing it. The pillow uses shredded memory foam which allows you to change the amount of fill in the pillow, but that's not as convenient as fluffing.

Thanks to the memory foam and poly fibers, the pillow can relieve tension in your head, neck, and shoulders. It can even help with circulation. The pillow isn't too soft or too firm.

Cok doesn't mention a time limit on their returns. However, they do have a 100 percent guarantee policy.

In our Tuft & Needle pillow review, we looked at a few similar pillows to see if Tuft & Needle was super unique. However, we can't tell you whether or not you should use a specific pillow.

We think there are some merits to the pillow. But we can't end our Tuft & Needle pillow review without mentioning how expensive the pillow is. All of the pillows we looked at cost less than the Tuft & Needle.

Have you tried this pillow? Do you have any thoughts or recommendations? We'd love to hear from you in the comment section below.
